Rey completed its initial public offering raising approximately $ 3.3 million to list on the ASX on 5 June 2006. Gujarat NRE Coke Limited is a substantial shareholder.
Rey is a mineral exploration company holding coal, oil and gas tenement covering large areas in Western Australia and prospective copper and gold tenements in Chile and Peru.
All of Rey's properties are 100% owned, and in the opinion of Directors offer good potential for medium to large scale economic deposits.

Coal Projects - Australia |
Rey holds coal leases in Western Australia at Liveringa in the Canning Basin and is the preferred applicant for coal seam gas areas in the Canning Basin.

Rey has five projects in northern Chile held through Rey Investments Chile Limitada, all located within 80km of the major mining centre of Copiapó, 600km north of Santiago. Chile is the world’s largest copper producing country and possesses a ‘liberalised’ economy with modern services and good infrastructure. The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in its April 2005 Country Brief reported as follows:
“With many mining companies now looking more actively at geologically attractive prospects across the region, Chile’s relatively easy and open operating environment for business has made it an ideal base of operations for Australian companies looking to move into South America. Australian or Australian-affiliated companies represented in Chile have increased from two in 1990 to in excess of 100."

Peru is a large gold producing country and hosts a number of world class mines including the “Yanacocha” mine controlled by Newmont Mining Corporation and the “Pierina” mine controlled by Barrick Gold Corporation, as well as the recently discovered “Alto Chicama” deposit which has reported resources of more than 7 million ounces of gold.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in its April 2005 Country Brief reported as follows: “Peru has facilitated its integration into the global economy through an active approach to regional integration. Geologically, Peru is possibly the most interesting country in Latin America. Peru ranks among the world top seven mining countries ...”
