Humitos project, Chile

Humitos is a copper, silver and gold prospect, of 17 blocks of mineral claims with a total area of 45 km2. These blocks are located at Llano del Humito in the Atacama desert, between Copiapó city and Inca de Oro town.

Chilean Copper ProjectsThey are surrounded by the silver mining district called Tres Puntas-Chimberos and the copper-silver belt of Inca de Oro-La Isla-San Pedro de Cachiyuyo, a large and high density fringe of mines that possess vein, mantle and breccia pipe style of mineralisation. The area is an important and historical producer of gold and silver. In this zone a widely distributed hydrothermal system is surrounded by a classic pyrite halo and hydrothermal alteration zones.

Rey plans to carry out a phased exploration program with the objective of finding a mineable, porphyry gold-copper deposit. This program is to include geological-structural district mapping, geochemical and rock chip sampling, relict sulphide studies, bulldozer trenches, geophysics and drilling.
